Where to sell Premium north American phone numbers ending 9999 etc?

Please don't take this as N00b attempt at subverting BST. I have been here too long to try some ish like that. I have a few dozen phone number in North American Area codes that all end in repeating digits.

    Example
    239.425.3333 * * FORT MYERS
    514.565.9999 * STE-GENEVIEVE
I know I could cold call business owners in those area codes or spam them and probably make a sale but, thats alot of work and I hate being hung up on.

Should I try DP? There have to be outsource workers interacting with local businesses that have crappy phone numbers.

Calling the local businesses just seems like the best way. Even though you say you don't want to do that. Why not buy a list and pay someone to call them? I would imagine your success would be quite high.

I wouldn't target existing businesses as the more established they are the more chance they will want to stick with their existing number.

I would be approaching brand new businesses before they have fully set up and therefore before they even have a number.

You could either target people with newly registered domains or with newly registered businesses.

I think you'd have a lot more success with that business demographic.

    LOL

I wrote to a bunch of t shirt shops yesterday in one area code trying to trade my premium vanity telephone numbers for some t shirts and I wrote something like "your telephone number is terrible" in the subject line. A lady who owns one of the shops called me back this morning spazzing that I am an asshole blah blah..

So she hangs up on me and I call her back.

She picks up "bobs top end"
Me:"does this mean we aren't going to trade"

She was swearing when i hung up. Good thing I am a bit older now or I would post something on ***** for her.

Just a couple of things you could bear in mind for the future:

    1. Never insult people if you are trying to sell to them.
    2. You should know EXACTLY what you wrote - that's the only way you can analyse the effectiveness of a sales campaign. Always analyse, no matter how small your campaign is.
    3. Rather than treating her rudely you could have used her call to ask what prompted her anger and what she would have preferred to have recieved - it's valuable information.

I would not tell people to buy a number because theirs is terrible. I would be mentioning the potential benefits of owning a premium / memorable / noticeable number.

Sounds like I would be better off hiring a cold calling pro like you for a 60% commission.
