Hi, I'm about to buy some backlinks to a digital newspapers with high DA, DR and traffic. I'm not sure what's better: point the link to my home or to a single posts? What would be the difference in the authority transfer and spread? I mean, depending on where I point, can I get more or less DA for example? I've got a blog and my goal so far is to build authority on my site to rank better in general for all my posts. Thx.

since you want to rank better in general point the backlink to your homepage as - typically - domains with higher authority gain better rankings. However, if you have a money page you probably want this page to rank in google so you can... well, make you money with it :)

And in order to do that it might make more sense to get that delicious high authority backlink to this page instead, but you need to check how tough your competition for the keyword of your money page is because if it's a tough competition one link won't do you any good, in which case it makes more sense to point it to the homepage.

And then there's the traffic part... if the guest post on that magazine site gets you even 100-200 visitors a month to your site it, again, makes sense to point it to your money page, but only as long as that money page is EXTREMELY RELEVANT to the anchor text. I mean, if the people reading your guest post on that digital magazine website see your anchor text (whatever the anchor text might be) and find it interesting enough to click on it you'd better take them to the best money page you have on your website that talks PRECISELY about the topic of the anchor text. Well, that's what I'd do anyway...
