    Hello,

Finally coming out from lurking this forum, I'm just about ready to make my first thread.
This thread is in regards to my tumblr blog, The blog is around urban things, like graffiti and what not.
At first I tried using adsense but it only pulls in around £1 when I really push for traffic.

How do I maintain traffic without the need to push for it, If I was able to maintain traffic flow in a autopilot sort of way I could then upscale this idea to more blogs to increase revenue.

Also what would be a good way to monetize this blog.

Here's the blog www/ urbanrelated (dot) com (I purchased a domain, it is a tumblr though)

SEO. You need real traffic from search engine, because it's the most effective way to get visitors. It's also 'passive' source of traffic, of course after some of time spent on SEO.

Bookmark your site on various sites like Digg, Stumble, Diigo, Folkd... Then add your site to free Directories and RSS feeds. Write articles relating to your site and post them on article directories. Do not forget to always link back to your site no matter what you do.

Basically this is just an extended version of Kruczy's answer :)

Just ranking your site isn't going to monetize it. You could get an affiliate account and hawk related products, like gangster-style hats, or whatever the whippersnappers are buying these days. However, you're probably wasting your time unless you already have thousands of followers, OR you scale this method up significantly. Pretty images in such a small niche are not likely to make you rich.
