Where do you all get your Scrapebox proxies? For a long time now the harvester tool doesn't work for me. Are there any websites that post free proxies to use?

Don't use the built in proxy sources.

    Add your own sources like

    Code:
    http://elite-proxies.blogspot.com/
then harvest and check in Scrapebox.

This will give you many working proxies and a bunch of g00gle safe proxies.

I use scrapebox to get proxies meaning that I type in the keywords section stuff like, free proxy, free proxy list, public proxy list, free public proxy list etc

Sometimes I might use in the havestor section "filetype:txt", "inurl:proxy" etc

Finaly with my urls harvested I then remove all duplicates. In the manage list I then go to rmove list, remove url's not containing "proxy".

Now once I have I have sorted everything out I then save it and upload it to the manage proxies, click load list, and then load and replace current list.

The only drawback doing it by this method is you will have to sort out the wheat from the charf. You might get some places that give you 1 proxy then you might get some that give you 50,000+ proxies.

    Hope this helps

Use proxies daily provided in Proxy section of BHW :
    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f103-proxy-lists/
Explore ProxyFire forum to get a bit more :
    Code:
    http://www.proxyfire.net/
To find sources for scraping proxies, try this footprint on Google :
    Code:
    inurl:"/proxyc/engine.php"
Then, choose one result and change in URL "engine.php" by "list.txt".

    These are the simplest ways.

But remember that all public proxies die quickly.
Always have greater than 50 Google Passed (IP Test).

All sources from Blogspot are famous, so most proxies are already dead...
Finding good sources is a hard step.

Keep in mind that with public sources you can't never get more than 500-800 Google Passed proxies.

What about forum posts you see here... how are those sorts of sources?

Also how long are proxies good before they're all used up? A day, a week? How often do you need new lists?

If you're willing to pay, proxygo's service is good. I've been thinking about GreenGoblin's software as well.

Sorry, I meant ProxyGoblin at http://proxygb.com, haven't tried it, but I like that it creates and automatically updates a .txt file. Perfect for use with Dropbox.
