Where to buy images

I read a few weeks ago, that you had to use licensed images, for your headers and graphics on your site.

Does any one have any good sites to get them from? One I was looking at wanted 400 for a really simple picture

Fotolia and Bigstock are good ones.

 

iStockphoto is another cheepie.

 

gettyimages are good cheap, also.

 

Sod paying for images!

Do a wikipedia search for public domain images and copyright free images and you'll find a host of images without a license required!
At the same time you do this, take note of the disclaimer Wikipedia use, copy and paste it and modify it so it covers your site.
(Obviously you can get some really nice images by paying, but there's millions of license free images out there)
