You can also try godaddy auctions. There used to be a script somewhere that checks all the listed domains for pr.

I tried this, but how can i know the PR is real? Even if see many backlinks, seo quake is showing PR n/a for that domain. So i suppose even if i buy this domain and put some content to it, it will still have PR n/a and maybe it will get some real PR after next PR update, am i right? This is what i dont need...

Here's the thing.. Buying domains (aged) with PR requires some skill. I use expireddomains.net to find out the basic info such as date of reg. Run those domains in opensiteexplorer to get a brief idea on the domain authority. I particularly look for the # of backlinks. You could also try Majestic SEO as a second level of verification.

In most cases with domains older than 7 years you can do a SB blast and some manual high PR commenting to get the PR up and running (personally managed to get 3 such domains to P3 before selling them off).

If you want domains WITH PR then godaddy auctions is ideal to check the closeouts as they are existing domains so the PR is valid (ie. if the domains werent being used as a redirect).

yeah, it requires some skills, time and a lot of money. Ive been hunting domains in auction for around a month now, its really hard to get good ones while 10 of other guys are after that domain, you need to be creative and dig deeper, you might see some gems that others bidders don't see. It can be stressful waiting for last minute bidding then some guys will blast bid and some have proxy bidders. lol!

Guys i still dont get it. Somebody wants to sell me a PR3 domain for 25 bucks through godaddy.com How will he actually going to "give" me that domain? what will i receive from him if i pay him the money? And what about hosting, can i choose my own provider or what? I am completely lost...

    thx

hey don't worry to buy from this blackhatworld they really offer good and quality things. I think they are authentic rather then other sites. and if you find any prob lem you can trigger that to MODs here as well.

I buy all my PR domains from DP. You can't just trust anyone. You have to run through the domains yourself and make sure the backlinks justify the PR. Don't worry about iTrader, reputation or anything like that. All that matters is having a good backlink profile. To be extra safe, you can ask the seller to verify ownership by writing something or uploading something to the website.

Its sort of tricky and needs some good knowledge of how you can check the PR to bid for it.

Only problem with DP is that the choice is limited.

Godaddy auctions is good, but their service is shit. Just a change in nameservers on godaddy hosted domains takes 2 days while someone like namecheap or register.com takes only an hour at the max. But having said that.. for budget aged domains, Godaddy is the leader.

I have set my reseller account and renewals to the lowest possible pricing. I think hosting is $2 something. Also the renewal rate does not go up ever. Check out http://www.discount-domains.org
