I don't mean crappy $2 for a million word writers from every country which ends in "stan". (lol)

I mean good quality content writers for hire who can write website content, articles, guest posts and know how to formula good on-page content for a site?

I have come to the conclusion that the reason it is difficult to find good quality writers is two-fold.

1. Most writers "job sites" have conditioned us to pay no more than $1.00 per hundred words, therefore we get what we pay for.
2. Good quality writers expect to be paid for their work. This causes them to mostly avoid the most common "job sites" and to work mostly on a referral basis.

Seriously

well lets be honest

if you live in the USA - and say Manhattan NY - your not writing 100 words for $1 as its just not paying the bills.

You can find them on Odesk, you set the minimal bid higher and I found more quality writers apply to the job. Of course you have to sort them and test them out a bit but in the long run it's great. While giving them test articles ( I do still pay them) I use the bad ones for backlinks in article mkt and when I find a good writer I use his stuff for my websites and ask him for more work.

I'd second areyouserious here, as most clients feel it a pain to pay for content. Hence, the surge of writers who would charge as low as even 30 cents per 100 words.

Though I am from a third world country, I refuse orders if the payout is less than $1 per 100 words, unless the volume is significant. I believe that i'm better off not getting work than in ruining the industry by just competing on price.

Choose your words carefully on this forum. We have zero-tolerance for people
who are publicly displaying a sense of prejudice toward any members of BHW. :(

We are all brothers and sisters here . . .

Sorry, no offense intended. There will be plenty of writers in those countries perfectly capable. I just have not had much luck.

I would simply like the writer to have English as their first language and a familiarity/fluency of USA/UK use of the English language.

I would edit my first post but I don't have the capability, no edit button :(

i'm in the UK, I've never used Craiglist before. Do you target writers who don't have much knowledge about online marketing?

If you sift through people on ODesk and Elance, there are some gold nuggets in there. You just have to make sure you pre-screen and qualify and have them do some sample writings...

I lived in the Philippines for awhile and most of the natives who live near a city learn English and speak it pretty well. In the Provinces they also can speak English, but not as well. I have hired content writers from there who were great!

Hi gorang,

I would suggest to hire an outsourcing firm from the Philippines. Filipino employees have a good grasp of the English language and culture. The offshore staffing process works very similar to how you would hire personnel locally.

Do you mods read all the threads line by line? wow. I have account in so many forums. But none of them like this. If you break a rule here, the mods are there immediately. I guess that is what make this forum so special..
