It's been an annoying couple of hours...

I've been trying to find a specific ebook that's selling on cl!ckbank, but it doesn't seem to be out there. Looks like I have no choice but to buy it.

This however leads me to a question; is there a main place where you download ebooks from? or do you do what I do, and just look under every rock until you find it(or in my case, until you don't find it and buy it) - I'm hoping there is some sort of ebook forum mecca where they're all kept nice and tidy for me :)

Obviously our place here is great to get certain types of ebooks. The ebooks I'm talking about are those ones about little niches.

    Cheers,

I'm actually constantly uncovering new download sources. I remember starting out with emule & edonkey, then moving on to p2p, then forums & communities (this is where most of the magic is). I bet there is a site on the internet that specializes in "small niche downloads" :p, though I haven't seen such a site yet.

PS: If I find anything that covers what you seek, I will let you know ;)

If you can get in, check out thevault.bz. It's an invite only torrent site, but they occasionally have open registration.

You can also check out biztorrent.com. The layout is the same as the vault and they have a lot of the same stuff, but not as much as the vault.

Try typing this in the Google search box:

    Code:
    "Niche" filetype:pdf
You keep the quotes, but you can change "Niche" to "Affiliate" or whatever word you want.

NOTE: You can use more than one word in the quotes.

    Example:

    Code:
    "affiliate marketing" filetype:pdf

Well Wiz Gizmo, I see you have invested your education on how digital products are hosted. LOL! :D

Thank you for your excellent tips here. I have now opened a new notepad file. And I am cutting and pasting some of your very good posts to keep as a useful reference to me!

I like ideas I can immediately see the results. Like above I just tried it and I am now going to post something I just found quite handy for some BHW Members who have a specific piece of software. :)

Now that I can fish, I'll bring them in! LOL!

NOTE: You can also use other file extentions. Instead of pdf, you can use rar, or zip, or exe and so on.

I think you get the picture :)

If you are really into taking notes, I would recommend that you use Microsoft Office OneNote. Check it out if you haven't, I think you would like it (especially after Notepad).

Thanks JDRic. LOL! I realize its difficult to know what other people might already know. And that you are just making an effort to improve my skill set. :)

I have used Notepad and I have used One Note. Basically, I have been around since the PET computer with 4K back in 1975. And I started breaking and improving software since 1988.

I use Notepad, because it's clean and starts up faster than anything I can use. Iuse a short cut key and it appears. I write in it. I do rough code with it and take notes. I keep all my own notes in one folder. Whenever I want to know something,I just do a search within my folder and I get my answer.

I use it as a method of "brain retrieval." I do the same with my email. I can pull up any correspondence for the last ten years, within a few seconds. Another reason I like using notepad, is I fix and re-design plugins and other scripts. So I need something that isn't adding anything to my text.

But I hear you, JDRic, I actually used One Note for teaching people how to create e-books fast without any formal training in MD Word. And I like it. It is a very good organization tool. However it bogs down, when you start writing a few hundred pages. It takes time to open. Other than that, I get around it.

Finally, Notepad allows me to create anything I want with the text. Narration using voice for podcasts, e-books using pdfs, videos using slides, webpages using html, scripts using php, and the list goes on.

If I used something like One Note or even Word, I would have to reformat the text just to turn it into something else. So this is my spin on "Why NotePad?" LOL!:D
