    Hello,

Is there a program / website etc that I can plug into my site that will allow me view where my traffic is coming from, and how much of it is coming from those places.

For example, if I were to place a banner on BHW and I wanted to see how much of my websites traffic is being generated from that banner, how can I do that?

    Thanks,
    Ducky

G analytics or Piwik (I use this one)

For the banner you'd need prosper202 or something similar

For the website: I would just check your logs in the cPanel section of your server.

For banners...my thinking you would use some kind of tracking code...similar to one of Mike Filsaime's programs that he had out 4 or 5 years ago.

Google analytics is fine for showing me what country the traffic is coming from, but what about what website it's coming from? Is there a way to tell that?

I was talking to my hosting customer service and they say We don't offer or support it but it can be done. You have to edit the mod_coding. I have no idea what this means and google just gives me a bunch of modified videos games when I search for it ><

Google analytics can also show referral means from where you are getting your traffic. Piwik can also do that... Both are good and free solution... Try whichever you want. Should be enough for your needs...

As they've already said, Google Anayltics is the way to go. If you looking for an alternative that's also good and cheap (but not free!) take a look at mint dot com

    ****** FREE *****************
PIWIK open source ( GPL licensed ) real time web analistic software
    Go to
    http://piwik.org to download it
It has pretty much same tools as Google Analistic available and it's FREE
You can host it on your own server, it does not take much CPU at all.
I use it to track over 40 websites in one panel.Works great.
