Where can a small business buy apparel? Alibaba is mostly for massive quantities.

Something like this (all embroidered or screen print):

    - 200 hats of 2-4 different styles
    - 25 golf shirts
    - 25 nylon jackets
    - 25 sweat pants
    - 25 hoodies
    - 25 crew neck sweaters

Shipping all this from China doesn't seem the most practical solution. That's if you can find a manufacturer for this low of quantity.

Any thoughts? What have you done for your business or client?

I buy only 2-3000$ from alibaba (could be less but thats the amount to get the best shipping deal for me), just add some suppliers on skype and say you want a mixture of their items, the price doesn't tend to change for bulk by as much as people think. Or use a forwarder to buy from different suppliers.
I'm good friends with 1 of the sales guys from my main supplier and he basically acts as a forwarder for me for free, e.g I'll buy $2000 from him and then I'll get 4-5 other companies to send $3-400 orders to him and he just charges me shipping on it

If you do a search for "buy uniforms" you will find lots of companies that can provide small quantities of personalised uniforms etc

chances are that you can get even these smaller quantities from Aliexpress cheaper than if you would buy it in the US, i ordered a few times before just for personal use though, most vendors offer free shipping, the only concern is the quality, not the quality of the garments, because that's basically the same than if you would buy the same Made in China stuff locally, but the quality of the embroidery/print, so you may want to order samples first, if you decide purchasing from there

The guy who runs Must Be Michigan is a BHW user on here that does my graphic design but also does screen printing and shipping. I vouch for him but not sure what they can do in terms of hats.

Honestly, just find a local company...you might pay a couple bucks more per piece but you can usually see the quality before. Ordering online you never know what you really get until the non refundable custom order arrives. I've ordered stuff online twice and each time it was a huge let down. Local was more expensive but I knew how the quality was before.

Some suppliers on Alibaba offers you a chance to get a trial shipped to your place.

In this way you should pretty sure that you what you are selling before to order a larger number.

The trial is just one item usually and it is shipped for free.

    Kind Regards.

In case you want some training there are few good courses that teach you how to find those suppliers.

Take your time to study and do not invest massively if you are not sure.

Make sure you start with small tests just for learning. Which is the foundation at the end.

    Regards.
