It's the end of the year, and today is the last day to get in those tax deductions. In my eyes, it's the perfect opportunity to make a windfall of cash in an extremely short amount of time. I already know how it is for people who end up making too much money and they end up owing taxes they never expected to pay. I've seen it happen a dozen times, and it can cause a bit of havoc if you don't have something to cushion the blow. The point is, there are people and businesses that need to get rid of their money in order to save on their taxes.

So, let's get right to the point. Where can I find people in this predicament? What are some good places to look? And no, I am not just looking for people to just give me their money. I want to offer a service, like a writing subscription (5 articles per week for $500/mo), or a business listing subscription (10 verified business listings per week for $200/mo), or maybe something else. I would really like to jump on this opportunity, but I can't figure out where to start. I'm probably putting too much thought into this, but I'm stumped.

Maybe you guys can help get the ideas flowing...

You are a bit too late...

...and no business owner is going to just fork over money for a "tax deduction" - expense strategies are planned far in advance...

Sometimes, I don't understand why people respond when they half read what's been written. I never said I wanted people to just give me their money. I specifically mentioned offering some type of service to a specific target market.

It's really my fault that everyone gave such sarcastic responses because I didn't take the time to fully explain my thoughts. It doesn't matter now at this point as the new year has begun, but maybe it will spark some ideas for someone else.

Usually the types of people that would fit into this category are large or mid-size businesses. Many have large budgets for marketing and growth that they are more than happy to drain, which get 'replenished' every so often. Additionally as we know these businesses can often write-off these purchases as business expenses, with the potential to save on taxes while increasing revenue.

As far as where to 'find' these people... well probably the best place is local directories, phone book, and business listing pages. The difficult part is taking the time to open a line of communication, actually get through to them, and then convince them to buy what you're selling -- but if you're half decent then these are definitely the people that will 'throw their money at you' for a service they deem valuable; often times on a recurring monthly basis for months or years to come.

I have yet to come across a resource to find such businesses who are ASKING for these things. It seems you have to seek them through a more tedious process. Most of the people asking are throwing pennies on the ground expecting the world in return, found at freelancing type oDesk sites and the rest.

Wish I could help with specifics, but those are my thoughts anyways.
