Yesterday it was 3rd in google and on the front page of Yahoo and today I can't find it at all. Not even if I search in quotations. What happened?? Why was it taken down? Can anyone explain this?
I can't think of anything I could have done to cause this.

I'm at a complete loss:confused:

what was the domain? maybe someone here can help...

My bad. The link is:hxxp://ranktothebank.net/wordpress/

Since none of us (well, maybe there are a few lurkers out there) work for G00gle or yah00 we can't tell you why. It's not completely off the search engines indexing...if you type "rank to the bank", it's there. As to why it's just not coming up in the search engine rankings where it used to...who knows. Welcome to SEO.

Hey, thank you so much for taking the time to look it up, but actually your seeing other listings I have. Seriously. The "Rank to the Bank Official Blog" Was there yesterday, but has been COMPLETELY removed. Did I piss them off?

it might possible that they had updated there database and in new rank you have been gone down

gotstano: You say it was on the front page yesterday, but how long had it been there - or even listed - before that ? How many links do you have to your blog - and your whole site -?

You see, I'm no SEO expert but, in my experience, weird things happen to new sites with not many links. If that's the case here, expect ups and downs for some time. It wouldn't be strange for it to even come back by itself in a short time.

I'm a member to a certain blog network and we noticed that WP are deleting WP blogs that have excessive backlinks to your blog for link building or SEO purposes. Never mind excessive links, even WP blogs with 2-3 outgoing links are getting deleted for no apparent reason watsoever...Must be a new policy that WP is starting or something...

Actually, I figured it out. No friggin' site map. ....
Why isn't anyone talking about that up front? Not even in books I bought on wordpress.

Type in "free sitemap" or something close and get it handled if your reading this b/c of a similar problem.

I can suggest you one thing.
Go to google webmaster tools, they will give you one code, either you choose meta information or upload a html file. Do it, then check your problem in google webmaster tools.
Its worth try.

Matt Cutts also recommends google webmaster tools strongly.
