Hello, everybody. I just want to buy a couple of .com's but I amshort of money. Can you help me with this please?

search the forum for godaddy coupon codes... There's a thread for getting them for 1.99, but I'm not sure how many you can get with it.

you can always google or you can check at hxxp://godaddy.promo-code.net/

remember, on the surface godaddy can be cheaper, but namecheap gives free whois, so it winds up namecheap is cheaper. unless of course whois is not important to you.

Yahoo offered me 1.99 for a domain for first year . Not sure how much it is for the second year though.

But I use name cheap . I use yahoo for tehre domain tool .

You get all you need with name.com.
free private whois
google apps
dns management
instant activation

I have most of my domains with them. No problems whatsoever.

Yes.. GoDaddy is not cheaper. They just use nickel-and-dime pricing.. once they suck you in, you'll find for yourself what it actually costs in the inside.

Thanks for your support.Currently I purchase my domains at namecheap but I am looking for something cheaper

DONT USE DOMAINS ARE FREE!!

Oh my goodness, they are terrible. I got ONE domain from them to save someone money - they are really Globat. After a while they transfer your account out - to globat so then, you can't log in, support emails bounce and then, after you expire, they hijack it, say you can buy it back from them within 30 days.. but it's registered with them for the next year so if you don't want to pay $80 to get it back from them or the $18 to renew it before it expires you can't get it at All cause they have it and keep it as an adsense/sedo page. PLUS, they don't really give you 30 days, it's more like 3. really unhappy with them.

I use cheap-domainregistration.com and have for about 8 years now, never a problem, ever. propagation is fast and they dont care if you lie on your who -is as long as you have an email for the backbone (internic) company to check once a year.

They were $6.5 but went up to 7.99 like the others did a few months ago. occasionally they have 99 cent .info's and the regular .info seems to stay at 1.99 all the time.

renewal isn't terrible, but like the others above, the renewal price is like the .com's etc.

Not as cheap as apparently name.com - which I am going to go checkout now but less than namecheap.

edit: just checked out name.com they want 8.99 for .com and .net and 9.99 for .info! r they crazy!?

I find godaddy.com to be the best......they are not expensive and they routinely come up with various interesting promotional offers too...

I find godaddy the best too
its not expensive and majority people i think is using godaddy!

My experience with godaddy is like a bad dream. I don't want to deal with it again. I'm with namecheap and I'm satisfied.

In another thread I noted that I bought a lot of domains on Yahoo last year. Now, they are coming up for renewal and they want $35!!! So I am transferring them over to NameSecure which charges $8 or so to transfer and includes a year's renewal.

Anyone have a GOOD cheaper alternative?? :)

I got one domain at godaddy for $1.19 using promo code 99DOMAIN, it was posted here at BHW forum, I dont know if the promo code still works..try and see
