I've had a PR4 site for 4 years and it naturally picked up about 70 backlinks.

In the past 2 months I did the following:

    1. Paid someone to get 500 profile backlinks from PR3-PR8 forums (verified all links)
    2. Successfully submitted 500+ articles with AMR, 2 links per article (verified all links)
    3. Scrapebox Commented on 8,000 blogs - linking to the previous 500+ articles (to get the articles indexed by google). (all verified)
    4. Used ContentNotifier to get 10,000 backlinks from directories.
    5. Paid someone to get 6,000 backlinks using Xrummer (all verified)

... yahoo explorer still says i have only those original 70 backlinks!

Seriously, wtf? Where are my backlinks? Any ideas?

Unfortunately I cannot give that info out. One of my main profitable niches.

    Your sites probably weren't indexed.

Google probably links all the back links together and black marked them all, chances are if they aren't indexed now they will never be.
This is why you should add your links after your sites have been indexed.

Have you checked both www and non-www variations of your domain?

Yes, I checked both www and non-www however I only use the non-www versions when I link to the site (set it up with Google Webmaster tools).

Most of the 500 articles that I submitted with AMR are in fact indexed in Google...

    Hi Argent,
Funnily enough I'm encountering a similar situation.
I check the urls of the backlinks in google, they are there.

Check how many backlinks to the site (with yahoo, sbox and a bunch of other free checkers) and they're not there.

I've not encountered this in such big numbers before.

It will be intersting to see if anyone can shed any light on this.
    :)

Same thing. I leave a footprint in my articles. I can search and find at any time 100+ of my articles, with do follow. Not 1 of them is registering as a backlink.

I can search for the directory submissions as well. None of them showing backlinks. What the hell. My site has like 20 backlinks, 5 of which are nofollow..

    What the hell?

But its been about 3 weeks since i've submitted the articles.. but really I mean, the articles are indexed just no bl?????????

    I'm getting nowhere fast....

Some of the links might eventually get indexed and show up, but most of them probably won't get re-cached again in the near future. They seem to be long-forgotten pages.
