does it matter if the link to your web 2.0 is do or nofollow and does the backlink anchor text matter?

Many people are under the belief that nofollow doesn't count. I think nofollow definitely does count. Everyone agrees that goog is an information hog and it wants more and more info. Then why would it ignore info? a nofollow link gives google info. so they wouldnt ignore it.
as for the anchor text, for web 2.0's, I usually pick something related to my niche, but not my exact keyword.

Of course "Do follow" and Links with "anchor text" matter. But Its also good to have every type of links pointing to your site be it "no follow" or "do follow". Or be it "anchor text" or "naked URL". This pattern appears more natural and diversify your linking structure. Just try it : )

i heard that when you use the same achor text too often it makes google suspicious. and the links count for less. try mixing it up as much as possible
