I am already fed up with those Facebook ads, and I never clicked on one of the them, never, and I bet most of my friends also get disturbed not attracted by those ads. So how the hell has Facebook managed to make such a big deal out of this stupid business?

The only time I ever click on those ads is if I accidentally do it while scrolling. Usually, they are just annoying. But, there must be someone out there who clicks on it. Otherwise, nobody would ever use FB ads.

I don't know of anybody that's ever intentionally clicked a Facebook ad.
Do these people actually exist?

Some ads seems they belong in my timeline, which are (in my opinion) the best ads.
I click those from time to time.

Every 5 seconds.

You should be clicking on them if you are in digital marketing: just to check how their landing pages are at the very least. Facebook ads have given me tonnes of ideas, far more than I can get from anyone.

LoL to the OP; the "stupid business" you're mentioning is what has made Zuckerberg wealthier beyond measure. It's a proven method of building awareness for business (both online or brick&mortar).

Keep in mind, you're asking marketers if they've clicked on ads... We have different mind states compared to people who are solely consumers. So the desire to click on ads (even if they're enticing) may not be as strong vs someone who avidly engages in a lot of consuming. Just something to consider.

To answer you question, I only click on ads if they seem interesting. I'm always open to learning (new marketing methods, techniques), so I usually check out ads from other marketers.

nope, last time I clicked on an add was when it was in form of 20min tutorial that was giving more then expecting in return.
oh and yes I click on IT jobs adds, sometimes to see what they are smoking when they where writing job add and sometimes to check potential new firm out.

I actually made a few purchases from fb ads. They how me some relevant ads TBH...

You have to remember two things about those stupid facebook ads. The first thing is that Facebook hasn't become one giant it has or created it's value by accident. They know what they are doing and if it didn't work or earn a profit they would move on. Second thing to remember is that we aren't their target market. The typical Facebook use lives on the site, uses it for all forms of validation and self-image, so when they see those types of ads they click. Those ads aren't accidental. They are based on the material you view, like, comment on, search for, the groups you join, the pages you follow, and a million other factors.

And don't forget the factors outside of Facebook that influence the ads you see. Because of pixels
