An interesting thought, I reckon: When you can put your headset on and actually go places and enjoy it more than what is physically around you.

I think it's coming. We of course have computer games, but I can see a time in the not too distant future when we would prefer to walk into a virtual pub - chat with real people, but not physically be in front of them.

We could go anywhere. We could walk into any pub, any cinema... and not move from our home. We could go to the other side of the world and chat to people. It won't matter.

Getting on a plane? No need. If you want a holiday, get your VR set on and go to the USA and talk to people in the USA.

I see two ways to this, the shorter path is when the VR resolutions surpasses our eyes' resolution, the other path is what elon musk is trying, opening up your brain then read and write into, and voila! you no longer need reality.
it's ironic how elon musk always states that we live in a simulation while he has invested in a technology that puts you in a simulation.

This will definitely happen as they are working on improving VR at the moment. Oculus announced the Quest 2 VR a few days ago with 50 percent more resolution.

The evolution of VR will be similar to what happened to the TVs. First, we got these huge fat TVs with a low-quality resolution...and then....within just a couple of years we went from LCD HD TVs to OLED 4k TVs...and they are affordable for everyone now.

It could be the next big thing, a huge new market. But w must be careful about it. People can't even handle Instagram and TikTok and now they shall get into another reality.

Definitely the next big thing mate. It opens up so many opportunities!!

Think about it... I send you a message, "Fancy a round of golf?" - you reply with, "Sure... a pint after".. and this is what we do. We virtually walk around such a nice golf course and then have a beer after" - superb! We walk it and chat with the headsets and after the beer is poored for us...ok... that one will come later haha.

An extension of smartphone addiction, Yes.
