Hi guys, got an issue as to when should i start my backlinking to a new website, some people say you should wait a few weeks to gain a bit of trust and others say that you should start from when you've finshed setting up the site, my main problem is to avoid the google filters, just would like you views, so come on and give me some answers?

I usually socially bookmark all the pages that are optimized to target specific keywords. Then wait until they start appearing in the SERPs and then start building backlinks.

For me, I do it as soon as I put it up and at a steady pace.

I honestly do not see rhyme nor reason ... I have started 5 Brand New sites off with Hundreds of links in 24 hours and saw immediate/good results, and one -I think- I see the "Sandbox" effect on (Its almost as if Big G refuses to put many links up for it) ... I started 3 more new sites , blasted them out the door and have seen no ill effects on ...

    Good Luck to ya!

As a matter of fact, the one site that acted like it was "sandboxed" - it still had backlinks show up, just not as many ... they gradually show up anyway.

I personally have never had a website de-indexed - I saw links go up, down, back up, down again and back up again.

Heres the way I see it:
If you could get deindexed for backlinking I would de-index all of my competition in the next 24 hours!
What if a site just becomes popular overnight? Does Big G punish them? no.

    ... YMMV.
