When posting links to a youtube video, do you use contextual links or the embed code? Both? Does the embed code still count as a link, just without anchor text?

    Thanks!

Both and yes embeds count as a link :)

Better to mix to look natural. Remember when it comes to YouTube the quantity of links is more important than the quality.

For future reference use the YouTube section, you'll get more replies :)

Makes sense, thanks for your answer.

I got one of my videos ranking on the second page after using GSA + an instant link indexer drip fed over 7 days. I didn't blast it though, I only made a few (150) links to it using varied anchor text and naked URLs. I'll probably go make a bunch of web 2's and use the embed code a couple 20 or 30 times.

Yeh, I'm a newb, still playing around and testing things out. This forum has taken me from knows nothing to mostly knows nothing. Thanks again
