When looking for apartment to move into...

    The apartment must Not have:

    -Young children that cry
-Older children that play ball and scream
-Even older children that play loud music or god forbid drums
-Churches with bells or Mosques with Islamic war chants
-Schools with bells and kids of all ages shouting and screaming
-Neighbors that chop wood with an ax or a machine
-Neighbors that mow the lawn with a machine
-Neighbors where husband screams at wife all day
    -Dogs that bark
-Auto shop that fixes cars and such
-Main road with cars going up and down 24/7
    -Neighbors with loud cars/motorbikes
-Clubs/bars in close proximity (loud music)

    The apartment Must have:

    -Peace and Quiet
    -Law and Order

Damn it. Must get rich quick. Must buy house with big estate around it. Must be free of annoying shit.

I feel for you. I am blessed with your perfect apartment and not rich. Our pads cost is €300 per month and that's with electricity and water. Good luck on finding...

Good thing is I live in a 3rd world country. My monthly expenses for rent/electricity/internet/water/garbage/phone are about $150 per month.

So that's not the issue. But I gots dogs and loud neighbors and shit, and I can't take it anymore!!!

I'll be moving in a month or so, and I made a list. What I want, and what I don't want. So I'll know exactly what I'm looking for when I start looking.

May BHW be with me. Amen :p

My apartment has all of these and I adapted to it quite quickly. There's a coffee shop on the street below with a DJ playing right now and I only noticed the music after I read your post.

Having said that, nothing beats a nice house on a block of land with a big fence around it to keep everything else out.

I used to have annoying neighbors above and below me, but I beat on the ceiling and floor so often to quiet them down that they both left.

My northern wall is made of bricks and its 65 centimetres thick, isolated with 10 cm expanded polystyrene so I never hear my neighbours. I didn't build the walls, the house is 105 years old. The only dog I hear is mine and that's a conforting noise, knowing that he is doing his job. Good walls, good windows, a good dog and some good cameras will give you peace of mind. It would be perfect for you not to buy a house but to build your house just as you want it.
