A close friend of mine is putting together a blog soon and he's going to be publishing several free SEO tutorial videos (no guru/upselling BS).

He's asked me to try and get some feedback/suggestions from you guys.

So, when it comes to SEO - what topics do you think should be made into a video? It can be anything.. maybe you're looking for a video walkthrough on a particular subject which you haven't found yet.. or maybe you're looking for a video on a subject which you just want to learn more about..

I've started him off by asking him to create a video about creating PBN sites. Any more suggestions?

Hi Leith,

A lot of people do case studies on niche websites. They rank a particular keyword and detail the process. Then there are whitehatters like Brian Dean that have different techniques like the Skyscraper and broken link building. I'd really like to see two things:

1. How to get others to link to your e-commerce websites. It's easier to ask for links if you have an informational type website but for something like amazon associates, even with good content everyone knows that the purpose of your website is to sell items. Things are a little different with these sites.

2. End to end SEO for big sites. If there's a 100 page website, interlinking plays a big part but how would you build links to several pages? In theory of course you can, but that would take forever. No one has ever done a case study on a big website.

Thanks Leith and I look forward to your friend's new blog.

I'd say tutorials on Keyword Research. Everyone needs it and it's always nice to learn something new.
Do leave a link to his site when it's up. :)

Cheers guys! Some nice suggestions so far..

some more pbn and adsense tutorials would be good. Also may be give out some secrets on finding good pbn domains.

I would need this too. Always hard to find PBN domains. Any better sources than the basic ones of scraping, filtering or regular known websites like domcop or expireddomains would be good.

Keep these coming :)

I seriously suck at on-page SEO...this is so important...I have seen so many guys rank their sites on on-page alone. So, yes on-page SEO :)

I find written articles way better then videos. It's much easier to read while watching videos takes up too much time.

Do some basic seo tut on how to build links and how they work to help nooobs.

I think he's planning on doing videos + detailed posts too, so there will be both.

+1 for keyword research

Personally, I struggle when it comes to buying SEO services (especially what kind of services to buy for which tier, how to find good services, questions one should ask the seller before ordering,... )
Not sure if it's possible to write a good tutorial on this, though.

A home page that says what the domain all about via product images, sales and slider.
A technique to getting H1,2,3,4 recognized within the rules without on page text repeating what's in the slider, menu, gif, buttons

For my friend ;) Oh yeah hes says meta keywords are in back.

well tutorial on few things

On page SEO
Keyword Research :D
How To make a perfect PBN

Review of Google patents and analyzing what it means to SEO is one good topic that is interesting to read.

Tuts on competitor analysis would be a good one. Analyzing their link profiles, replicating structures and link placements
