Obviously metrics are shit, moz can't find a ton of links. Majestic metrics are retarded. There's some exp. domains I can register with 2-4 "good" backlinks from high DA news sites or niche relevant sites. Found them by scraping. But how do i know if it's worth spending $10 for it? The sites only have about 15 RDs, only a few are good. Some of the news sites just copy from other ones, or sometimes news sites just have a translated version of the article in another language. Does that make it worth less significantly? If there's a general rule of thumb like $10 is worth X "good" backlinks anyone uses let me know?
There is no general thumb rule. People set different criteria for themselves, i personally mostly discard domains that have less than 30 referring domain unless they are very strong and have been there for quite some time. I closely and thoroughly go through the links profiles of each domain to see if the authority they have come from only one or two domains or a number of them. I tend to pass on the domains that have only one or two worthy links because a loss those those will render the domain useless. If out of those 15 referring domains your links are coming from, 5-10 links are good ones you should keep it. I agree no single third party metric is complete in itself but you can tally with all the available ones to determine is the domain is good. Don't forget to manually go through the links and the anchors to see if it has been spammed in past.
Thanks. I'm not sure about how powerful a domain with say 2-4 good news site links is. So if you have 5 good links then it's worth buying.
If your buying .coms you can get it for cheaper. I know GoDaddy has a one dollar coupon and host Papa offers it for two dollars
