Does anyone have any study of when students are on social media the most?

For example, when is the best time of day to tweet to your student audience? Being a student myself, my friend and I are thinking 7 PM is pretty good. Since people are finished class and doing homework and easily distracted, and people generally are on their phones and dicking around after they eat. Also, around 10-11PM many students get in bed so they can get up early for class, and likely on their phone then too.

Those are my thoughts, because I can't find any studies or data on it.

I might code something to check when a few friends post on social media the most.

    Any thoughts?

I'm a student too and we all get the phone before going to classes, at lunch time and after classes

Agreed, so mornings (8-10am for me at least), then lunch time (12-1ish) and after classes/evening.

9am-12pm. Most classes start around 8-9am. Most of us who have been to college (my last semester was summer) and in the morning it seemed that people stared at their phones the most. I do not have a study to show you, but that is from personal experience.

I thought mornings would be a write off. Everyone is either late for class and has no time, or they are sleeping in. At 6 PM, I know everyone is awake and free generally.

    I am a college student.
I see kids checking their phone in class, in between classes, and after school in general.
I think you should aim for a general time frame of when the Internet is the busiest. Around 6-7pm and 10pm-12am

Honestly, if it's a college student (I'm assuming 18-24hr old demographics), they're probably on their phone ALL day round. I go to a fairly large campus, and everywhere I go, I see people on their laptops, checking their phones regular, whether or not they're in class or just hanging around.
