When did you first realize that you were addicted to Black Hat World?

I notice mostly when the site is down for a bit and I start to get the BHW withdrawal symptoms.

well at the start of this year i was searching the interwebs on how to make money online, i stumbled across bhw by accident or maybe it was fate ;) and thankfully i didnt end up at WF or DP first like so many do, not that they are completely bad its just i think BHW is were the real knowledge is, NO bullshit or fluff straight up REAL talk!......

I lingered here as a guest for a few months before i joined and started posting, ever since this has been my home :) i've met some class ppl here! ppl that have really influenced and helped me in ways i couldn't even begin to explain tbh, guys like: ExtraWinner, athleted123, ezlegion, secretboy08 and not to forget all the guys in IRC there is way too many to name, but you all know who you are!!

I learned things quickly because i reached out to ppl that is the key i think! i make more now online than my mates do in their 9-5 jobs so yea its not so bad for under a years work, and hey I'm just getting started!

one thing I'd say to newbies joining this amazing site is: get involved! reach out to ppl dont be shy about it! join in IRC if its your thing as its a great way to get to know everyone, learn new things and also have a bit of fun on your down time.....

I love this place and its really weird to say this about a website/forum but god damn i could not imagine my life without BHW!

Viva La BHW!!!!!!!!!!!!

The very first time I stumbled across this forum, the greatest repository of BH SEO knowledge on the web.

I also realized that some of the best minds in SEO are pooled here.

I first found it a couple years ago when I was just getting into SEO. I watched the Market Motive SEO Master Consultant series, started looking into back linking and figured it was way too much work. Looked for "alternative" methods and found BHW... Here I was introduced to XRumer, Scrapebox, SENuke as well as links to other resources.

I've mostly used BHW as a resource for troubleshooting, the best info on Google updates (who knows about new penalties better than those who receive them?) and tips or new ways to use my software. I had an 'agreement' with myself not to get SEO tips from here because I try to focus on white hat... I don't really have any resources for white hat SEO tips, I mostly just use SEO Moz monthly top update lists and good, old fashioned common sense.

But just recently, in the past couple of months I actually started reading some of the tips that people just hand out for free here. I've not put BHW down since and I've got quite a few new tricks up my sleeve thanks to it. I don't work for any places that frown upon black hat anymore, but actually embrace it (well, gray hat) and wish to practice it. :)

[edit]

I've also noticed what a cool community this is recently and that's another thing that's turned this to one of my favorite sites. One of the first threads I read after coming back was one about a guy who wasn't making IM money anymore, had a bad back, no job and overall a shitty time. Then about 1,000 replies from well wishers, opportunities and/or similar stories. Another section I thought was cool was the investment section, so many ideas must get off the ground at BHW as a result of this community.. It seemed like most of the people offering investment opportunities were taken up on their offers by multiple people.

That's fucking cool.

well....BHW it's a good place, and you can learn lot of new things here. Very many helpful members that can answer questions right away.

Love to read case studies :)

Maybe when i knew that all infromation in here could bring me millions of moolah if i would take an action, i just felt like reading and reading... when site is down i try to occupy my mind with other stuff and i'm bored.

When my girlfriend started an affair with another woman......

Theres only one "bitch" in my life and shes called "BHW" oh and .... "Google"

You shouldn't be. If you are, you're doing something wrong. Don't get the wrong idea though, BHW is a great resource, but you're time should be spent elsewhere - namely at doing what BHW is here to help you do.

Mine is similar to tOmmy except i went to DP and WF first. While searching for a WSO i found BHW and never looked anywhere else. I also cancelled the PTC site accounts i had. FORGET 2$ days...BHW makes it 100$ days.

That apart i have been studying the past 4 months and now that exam is over i am gonna start taking action. Already got the GET CPA approvals under the belt.

And it is true there are some real geniuses here too. One person whom i follow is BTB. I read many keyword resarch tutorials; they concentrated on the technical aspect. But after reading BTB's tutorial i already found some keywords for my niche and that too by reading. Thanks BTB and continue the great shares.

Also thanks goes to solar2010, healzer, ohaider for their contributions and their friendship.

As for the original question: I realised it when i had to read BHW even on my exam days..lol.

Keep the great work guys.

It is true... you can get addicted to BHW.

But you must do actual work.

It's a delicate balance.... work and BHW reading.

I got addicted to BHW since I found it. Seriously, I am surfing the forum all the time either on my computer or ipod touch (tapatalk).

TBH, I do not know!
Reading this thread made me think when and how I joined.
I know I did not join for a while, I know I came here first in 2007.
I was at DP since 2006, and left my account redundant ever since.
I joined WF this year, only to sell rubbish on a rubbish forum.
