I put my article's primary keyword in my title, slug (URL), image titles, image alt tags, and my content. I then supplement this by adding LSI keywords throughout the article or, when my keyword density gets over 1.5%, in place of my primary keyword to avoid sounding repetitive or unnatural in my articles.

it depends entirely on how you format your URLs and what platform you're using. If you're using Wordpress, you can click on the edit buttonnext to the URL while you're editing the article to change the URL. You can have a slug that looks like "www.yoursite.com/article-about-keyword/", so you don't have to change it to "www.yoursite.com/keyword".
