Meh, they spy on you anyway. And anyway, why do you want to use Telegram to have privacy when you are using an iPhone for example. Has no sense.
People must choose between facilities or privacy, and it seems that everyone, with few exceptions, has chosen the first option, that is why they use Google, iPhone, WhatsApp... I think that people are not aware of all the data that corporations have about them, they know absolutely everything about you. But at the end of the day, it's something that doesn't physically harm you, so we don't pay attention to it and I think even if they knew everything about all they know about us, they wouldn't care.

Now we don't have privacy, as long as you have a cellphone internet access, those apps always and I say always will access all your personal information and get all you life details, is unavoidable, we are so dependant of technology and now technology is a requirement.

what a complete waste of everyone's resources - - the company's resources, because they have to parse all this data into something useful, and all the customer's cellphone batteries being drained unnecessarily.
I've often wondered at the environmental cost of surveillance tech - - think about it, every website loads slowly, loaded with analytics trackers, phones need to be upgraded more often so they can run poorly engineered tracking-heavy apps, phones need to be charged more often and more mobile data needs to be used so we can send all this data to the corporations, and after all that I HAVE NEVER SEEN A SINGLE RELEVANT AD ON A BIG TECH PLATFORM, EVER.
Part of this is because most of the ads are post-facto. For example, I just bought a new vaccum cleaner. A week later, I get an ad for a vaccum cleaner - - how fucking dumb are these guys? In what universe will someone who just bought a vaccum cleaner need another one a week after? I buy some speech-to-text software, and I get ads for speech-to-text software on my facebook feed. Thanks, stupid, that's the last thing I need right now.

What's scary is using/accessing my mic when I'm not asleep but doing other stuffs.

Every ad platform has some kind of "interested buyer" demographic for this. Maybe that's a total Ad decay for the advertisers.

I don't think using the microphones of our cellphones while we are asleep is of much use to them but they might be collecting data from our Whatsapp chats/calls to customize the ads shown to us on their other web properties like Facebook and Instagram.
