When you don't have money to invest in ads what do you think is more important for an online niche store - building social media following or SEO?? What are your opinions??
Because now I'm exactly in the same situation where I don't have money to invest in ads... So what should I focus on more for my online niche store - social media following or SEO???

Keyword research & SEO are the main areas that you need to focus on. SMM (in my opinion) should account for around 10% of your total effort that's put in to driving traffic to your site (especially since we're talking about a "niche" site here, not a brand).

Regarding keyword research I'm in great trouble because my niche is such that it's got pretty less keywords... But those keywords have high searches like 1 million a month but have also got high competition. I spent a long time researching for keywords but all other keywords have got pretty less search rate like only a 100 a month... So I don't have any other option rather than targeting those high competition keywords.
So I mean that if "*** t-shirt" keyword has got 1 million searches "buy *** t-shirt" keyword has got only 300 searches.

Great creative and use Instagram to direct traffic to your niche site but it depends on the type of niche. You should look into it.

To put it in layman's term, you can create an ig account and start posting engaging contents and using relevant hashtags everytime you post a photo. You can also browse your relevant hashtags section and engage with your potential target audience. Other way to do this is to go to a competitor's page to convert their followers as well. If you have budget you can also buy shoutout from reputable pages.

Can i ask you why you put only 10% on SMM? Are you talking about general niche or narrow niche? Does it depend on niche type?(SMM %)

SEO will still cost you money in the end anyway. It's why I never began with it in the first place when I started my business. Make sure your chosen niche has a big enough audience.

Nothing wrong with targeting keywords with low search volumes. I do it all the time especially if they are buyer keywords.

How many phrases are there in your niche with low search volume?

For my Amazon site I have about 300 keywords that I am targeting. Each one has a search volume below 500 per month but collectively they add up.

I've a long term approach so when I've all 300 terms ranked I'll move on to the next rung of the ladder.

You can but I'm no expert and certainly can't give any advice beyond 'this is what I do'

I'd imagine you'll get better response posting questions on here.

Keywords and Hashtags will help you bring traffic, try to make an account on instagram and do some research on how this can be done. Or you can also post your questions here and the community will respond to you.
