They say you cannot target both search engines and people in your writing at the same time. I say that you can address both in your writing if you will write in a conversational tone and if you will use keywords as natural as possible. How can you write naturally? Mimic the style of speakers. Haven't you noticed how they ask their audience "Tell the person to your right..."? The audience feels that the speaker is addressing them. Apply the same style in writing. I just did (when I asked a question). Speaking about a question, as far as long-tailed keywords (LTKWs) are concerned, I suggest that you begin with LTKWs that are in a question form. What's my basis for that? Well, nothing but common sense. I go to Google because I have a question. Oftentimes, my search string is in a question format like "what is a long-tailed keyword". I won't talk about the competition level and the cost-per-click (CPC) of keywords in this post. I am writing this post for those who have just begun in the blogging and keyword research industry. It's the newbie's initial steps, so to say. I'll give you an example. Below are some random questions that are related to the main keyword "content writing". I've grouped them according to the type of question they represent (WHAT, WHERE, HOW, WHY, WHEN). Know that some of these LTKWs are grammatically incorrect. Some have a missing article (a, an, the). Some have a missing preposition. Some have proper nouns that are not properly capitalized. If you'd like to use them, I suggest that you make them grammatically correct so you can write readable content. However, I feel generous. If and when I have some free time, I'd be glad to post LTKWs, in question form, that are related to your main keyword. If you wish, you may post your main keyword below and I'll find some LTKWs in 5 groups (WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY, and HOW). It's up to you if you'd like to use them in your content writing campaign. I'd like to do this as my way of giving back to this community. Thank you, BHW!
