I've recently been doing low-cost to free methods of gaining traffic trying to profit from the internet. I have had little luck.

    WHAT I HAVE:
    The Best Spinner
    Article Marketing Robot
    Scrapebox
SEO Elite 4 - Never used, I'm scared to use it because of the lack of proxy support
Magic Niche Finder - Doesn't seem to be working anymore
    SENuke
    Market Samurai

What else should I get/what should I invest the $1k I have allotted towards IM into?

Are you wanting to outsource the labor? If not, you can just do everything yourself-- you don't really need to invest in anything else-- you have a bunch of great stuff there!

If there is something that you're an expert on, it's always more money for you if you can make your own product (like software, or an eBook, or a membership site, etc). You could spend part of the money on ODesk, hiring a developer to make something great that you can market.

If you want to do affiliate marketing, here's what you can do

--Use Market Samurai to research a niche-- use parameters SEOC less than 100,000, Title Competition less than 10,000, and PBR of at least 50%. You want something that interests you, and has SEOT (actual traffic, not just searches) of at least 200.

--Take all the results, run them through GoDaddy's "bulk domain registration" and buy the one that's available that has the highest traffic. (just buy one that's $7, no need for premium)

--Get discount hosting, install Wordpress and a decent theme. (it's like $4/ month)

--Take the keywords that are related but have lower traffic than your main keyword, make them into categories.

--Take the keywords and phrases that have lower traffic and write posts.

--Monetize with affiliate offers/ CPA/ Amazon, Adsense/ whatever.

If you have money that you want to spend, you could try running CPC (but not AdWords to AdSense, of course). Spend the money a little at a time, experiment around, find something that works for you, and stick with it!

Personally I would take the 1K and get someone to develop your own product or unique website.

I agree with this. However, $1k isn't going to get you much. You need to leverage it. If it doesn't make you money, then don't spend it. For ever $1 you spend, you should get back at least $1.30.

If you are experienced with these tools then must go on and work hard to gain much much more as you invested.

    Update:
I am very well versed in PHP and many other languages, as well as graphic design, just don't know what is needed on the market nor do I have the knowledge to market myself, especially with everyone outsourcing their work for pennies on the dollar.

Being a programmer myself, I have learnt this.. tech is not the edge, it is the business idea and skills there that make the money. I am a noob to IM but I can say one thing that dont get distracted by technology etc... yes we can do a better tool..

    • Be focussed and keep your target in sight.
    • If you feel that you are straying away from the path, try to get back on track
    • Tech is your strength, dont make it your weekness

well you definitely don't need any more tools.

If i were in your position i would build a few squeeze pages, bid on some nice targeted keywords and try to capture emails.

Once you have the emails, market Clickbank junk, CPA shit and whatever else you can find.

Having done programming and graphic design both professionally, that is why I'm interested in the marketing aspect. It interests me way more and I figured I'd have a slight (money saving if nothing else) edge... but it's just not working out for me. I don't know if I'm just being lazy or what. If someone asked me "How can I boost my SERP rankings" I'm confident that I could sit them on the right path, but when I go to do it myself I second guess myself a lot it seems. Hell I dunno.

My main issue is niche/keyword research... It just seems like there is nothing left out there, and it gets me down, and makes me not want to "go for it" all of the time. I believe personally this is because I started off with a highly saturated niche (making money online), then tried another niche that I THOUGHT wouldn't be hard to rank for, but ended up also being very saturated (sleep apnea/health type) ... both have been up for months now and I have zero to show for them.

you should invest in finding a niche, then getting a website and finding some keywords for em. get ur site live promote with keywords, and then tweak, and modified what u need to make bank. This is what im doing and what ive learned is that as soon as you start you will have new questions that will arise. and help u make more bank. this is just the 2 cents of a newbie
