I'm gonna add 3 more documentaries to my previous list since these were AWESOME & I forgot to mention them -
Shenandoah (2012) - Very rare, hard to find doc. I had to register with NetFlix just to see it. But it's a murder story about 5 white, popular, highschool football stars who committed a hate crime by beating an illegal hispanic immigrant to death. Then all boys were acquitted of the charge because racist cops helped them hide evidence. There's a lot more to the story but I don't want to spoil everything.
HBO's - There's Something Wrong With Aunt Diane - Another crazy crime story. A woman drives 2 miles in the opposite direction of some popular freeway then winds up killing 8 people. It's a very graphic, compelling and disturbing doc. Can be seen for free on youtube.
Crude, The Real Price of Oil (2009) - An award winning documentary that chronicles the epic battle to hold oil giant Chevron responsible for contaminating a huge region of the amazon. It exposes a lot of crazy shit and what's crazier is after the doc was made the assholes as Chevron tried to bring the doc maker to court to demand all 600 hours of the footage he took. Can be found on kickass.to
I'll add more as I find them. But for anyone who likes great documentaries you really need to see all 3 of the above.
