Not sure if this is the right section :D
But i want to ask, what are your experiences in ranking for a keyword with ~2.5k searches and medium competition?
I'm thinking about doing something but I'm not sure how easy it is since my abilities in SEO are pretty noobish :D

And what about ranking in foreign(german) language? I read SEO is not so popular over there :D

Just keep in mind the basic rule that whether your keyword has less competition or high competition only you need to do quality work to achieve good ranking. Now Google is very specific with quality if you follow their guideline than you can get better results.

    @WinningIO I used LongTailPro.
    @ BuyPRDomainsDotNet
I did some research and this is what i got:
    prntscr.com/2e1fih

I think its clear to see who did a 3-tiered scrapebox/xrumer blast :D
Its funny because he is actually last on the list :D

And the highest PR for a site is 4.

What do you think about this?

    What's better?

3 people a day who search for "diet books for old people with 6 fingers"
    or
300 a day searching for "can diet books help me lose weight?"

who wanna buy and who is searching for info?
which one is easier to rank?

You got your answer -> longtail + intention = $$$ fast
short tail + info seekers = dreamers keep dreaming while bankers keep stacking up cash.

Usually low to medium amount of searches is an indication for less competition. However, that doesn't have to be always the case so you should orient yourself more around the actually competition then search factors.

The goal should always be to find a niche where the demand is big, but the competition isn't that hard.

Agreed, it depends on the keyword in my opinion. If it's a money keyword, you could be on to something. If it's not, then I wouldn't bother.
