I am selling on Flippa for the first time, I have an established site that has generated over 100k profit each year for two years. I listed it for sale on flippa.com and already after 3 days there is 30 watchers and 3 bids. Is this normal to be experiencing so many watchers and so little bids? I am starting to feel some of these watchers are fake from flippas staff.

However perhaps I am paranoid, Please share with me your experiences with selling on flippa, how many watchers did you get? What did it sell for? How much did the site generate? preferably established websites. Thanks a lot.

Yes, most of the bids tends to come in the last day of the auction. If you have an established site then expect bids to blow up the last day of the auction.

Exactly .. There are 3 stages for your auction..

1.. a couple of bids like the ones you are seeing now
    2.. TOTAL DEATH .. nothing .. silence
3.. Getting closer to the end of the auction is where all the important bids are going to kick in.

Seems like you are selling quite a gem there.. If you payed Flippa to boost your auction.. then don't worry.. you will have the best response.. I sold a website and payed to Flippa $109 .. to place my auction in home page.. email the auction to their huge customers list.. and to stand out my auction in the website's searches too. I had a huge amount of visitors and bidders after that. So it was good investment for me.

Just telling you my experience.. but it was with a starter website.
Good look in your business :)

If your website is established one then try their premium services like featured listing.

I am not familar with this site, is it better than flippa? Please provide me with your experience with empire flippers vs flippa.

Thank you for the advise I think I will try the premium services.

This is exactly how it is going for me right now thank you so much for the detail description of your own experience, there is 20 days left so I think I will just try the premium feature listing to receive a greater response.

In my experience, its well worth buying the flippa auction extras for a site like this.
    All the best with it.

Watchers can include people who want to see how the listing goes or people interested in buying the website. Most of the interested buyers will be busy with the due diligence and they choose to watch your listing to get notified of what's going on with the listing. The other watchers are just random bunch of people trying to understand how your website generates that income, they will start researching more on your website to replicate the success.

It is better to upgrade the listing to Confidential Listing

Yeah its normal, watchers can be anyone, its not necessary he will bid on the listing. As per my experience i explain everyone about reserve via pm and therefore received little bid but sold it later via negotiation.

I can't believe I already have 75 watchers, this feels too good to be true. My website only has 6 bids and is at $650.00 among 5 bidders right now. I really hope the majority are not trying to replicate my website, if so thats a bit shady. Hopefully they're some serious people among that many that will make a real difference in driving the price up.

I had a few offers however I had to declined because they were no where close to what I wanted however I provided more details and now he is considering my offer once some time passes and I can show an increase in traffic and earnings.

Give it time, they will come through. We didn't meet the reserve on one auction, but had some decent bidders.

Thank you for the reassurance, I am very excited to see what I end up getting offered. I have been watching a few auctions myself, for market research purposes and I discovered many others do not get their reserve just as you experienced. I really hope this is not the case with me as I really need to hit the reserve.

Just a question OP, but what pushed you to sell it? Seems like you could ride out those profits for another year unless its on the decline. Just curious. Good luck with your auction

Yes there was a decline, however it dropped from 9,xxx.xx to a steady 2,xxx.xx a month.

Its because I have been spending a lot of my resources on another project in the same niche that I decided to just sell off my site and use the proceeds for marketing for my new project.
