I got one a few days ago and all the lan signal is strong, the internet connection keeps dropping even when using ehternet. There's no cap on tethering on my plan and i can always use 4g to no end .

Is this down to poor quality? Anyone else got one and experienced similar issues?

To my knowledge TP Link is a good brand for networking gear, it is in my whitelist. maybe you have a faulty unit ( warranty ? ) or the problem comes from the network itself ? have you checked the device network configuration settings ?

TP-Link is the only brand for network-products I use.

Used a Xiaomi router for a while and was not at all satisfied with the connection quality, switched to a lower-priced TP-Link router a everything's fine.

In terms of price-to-performance, TP-Link justifies the money spent.

Who is the provider (data / internet) not all are compatible! It's a bit of a mind field. Is the house new / old build as interference with signal can cause issues the same as having different wireless devices or a mobile in the same location..

Failing all that.

Check you don't have sleep or idle settings active on any devices.

Try a factory reset.

Try swapping out the sim with your mobile sim and see if you get the same drop if you do id say it's a hardware issue (unless its a different network)

Are you sure that the TP Link device is picking up the correct frequency from your carrier? It may not support all bands, maybe that is causing some issues?
