Are there any good blackhat techniques that don't involve spam or criminal behavior?

I ask because when I browse around, much of the ideas stem around either spamming... or just plain illegal behavior. Or is that the current definition of "black" hat these days?

It's not really the less risk, it's just the lack of creativity I guess. Like I read about the "PR storm is working" and I wonder... if it's really likely to get a site banned, why aren't people using it on the competition instead of themselves?

Fun stuff like that I guess. Spam works I'm sure, but it's not... well, evil enough really. It's the diet coke of evil. The margarine of evil. It's like going to a cannibalism party and complaining about the cholesterol.

For instance has anyone here used the Alexa web search feature of Amazon web services? You can, apparently, get like a million results for a reasonable fee. A good search phrase could be worth a lot of money.

But I digress. I'm new to the black hat world, and it just seems there's so much potential for coolness that's not being exploited.

Using PRStorm w/your competition's links to get them banned. BRILLIANT! Evil, but brilliant lol. MOST people on this forum aren't out to destroy their competition like that, they're just trying to learn some covert ways to increase their traffic and fatten their wallets.

We could always use some creative input though, so stick around.

Do you have a blog? If not, start one. You could monetize on those creative juices of yours.
