in the last few days we have seen more and more requests for site reviews and more often than not from newbs with less than 20 posts, whilst I welcome the fact the community does and often help these people there are instances where some of the these sites are full of crap (one the other night a mod pulled was a good example - full of trojans and certainly meant to catch people out).

Can the mods suggest something to protect the rest of the forum...minimum post count before review requests, some form of checker report (similar to uploads)......just a thought and interested in what the rest of BHW think?

I don't think it's that big of a problem, if you don't want to see it don't look at it.

There's no automated system they can put in to stop people from asking for junk site reviews besides making a new forum just for site reviews and setting a post limit. I never asked for a site review on here, guessing you don't know what you're talking about?

Well I do know what i'm talking about...seems there's freakin loads of newbies last few days.

Not that i'm against new members, its just they are making pointless posts to increase their post count, and its piss annoying!

The forum is to help people so that's why the inclination is to "trust" the poster and help out...

Unless we visit we dont know your site is clean we only take your word for it.....the whole point of my case!!!

BTW it was a mod who found all the shit on the site review thread that got pulled the other night, AFTER plenty had posted help and visited it....

I would rather feel some ease I am not visiting an infested site before I go to it as opposed to finding out by trying to help someone.....

The way it is going you will have newbies begging for reviews, no one will help then they will bump the threads and we have the newbie inflated post count argument again....its a merry-go-round which can be reduced I guess with some minor moderation....

doesnt that defeat the purpose of a "community" forum and what BHW is all about??....
