It seems like every time I feel close to getting ahead financially, I make the wrong move, or I hold at the wrong time. I was starting to get heavily into crypto in 2016, but got a new job and just didn't have enough time or energy to research. I had cashed out $20 of free ETH because it was too volatile and I didn't understand why my $20 became $17 overnight. I bought a few dollars worth of Dogecoin and the files got corrupted when I went to check it later. The last 12 months were pretty financially rewarding for me, and I put everything into ETH, and it has crashed again. I was close to having enough for a down payment on a house, and now I am not even close, and with interest rates rising, I won't qualify with my current income levels.

I've got interest in crypto, just wouldn't say it's my thing.

Not having the balls or the ID due to being a minor, to invest $900 into XRP at $0.007...

My first introduction to internet marketing was joining gaming sites that give you points for referrals, and you can cash in the points for prizes later. I joined dozens of these sites and would spend hours on them, sometimes days, dedicated to getting referrals from chat rooms online. While researching them, I came across Bitcoin for the first time. It had me interested, but I was sure it was a scam somehow, and that I was better off grinding away trying to get enough points for a PlayStation 3, even though it was never in stock. I just had a feeling that if I could get enough points, it would finally be in stock, and I could sell the PS3 for hundreds of dollars. Bitcoin was still on my mind, and I could buy hundreds or even thousands of them for just a few dollars, but I just couldn't convince myself it was legit. I lost my PC anyways that had some Bitcoin from faucets on it...

The only thing I got from the game sites was a T-Shirt. Everything else was always out of stock, and the sites I used would always shut down before I could cash in big. I learned some really valuable techniques, but I do think about if I had used the time to study Bitcoin more instead.

Where is that dumb LUNA thread! I bought my LUNA tokens on Voyager and now my profits are gone as Voyager took a massive dump and filed for chapter 11.

Also real talk: I had a high speed wreck on the interstate in med school that I thankfully walked from. Insurance covered most of it but when you are on a shoestring budget and living off of student loans, it was the worst timing. Ended up working a rotation for 90 hrs/week by sleeping on a friend's floor for a month because I couldn't afford the student housing for one rotation.
