What do you find most difficult to write? Example:
    - blog posts
    - editorials
    - sales copy

For me, it's the latter. That's not to say I can't write it, but I guess if it's down to conversions and other factors, this type of copy leaves no room for fluff, eh? :)

Please share your thoughts, aspiring copywriters!

That will be sales copy, my friend. Editorials come in second on that list. Blog writing is a piece of cake.

For me it depends on the topic and end result. Sometimes I love all 3, sometimes I hate them all lol. Mentally assigning a difficulty to them would just be a hindrance to me and earn me less money so they're all the same :)

Products or services where someone is entering the market but doesn't really have anything to distinguish himself against the masses of established products/services in the space.

Also, extremely technical products and services that appeal to a very niche market and you have to narrow down the copy to interest this tiny group of people specifically.

    Both doable... just tough!

Writing a business letter is always a headache for me, because you need to analyze a person you are writing to first. You need to be creative, flexible and even sometimes be like a poker player if you want to reach your goal, which is to gain new costumer/business partner :) However, to write a right and atractive product's proposal pdf is also sometimes a chalange.

The hardest one for me is the content that can be condensed into 200 words instead of 500 words. So, I struggle to add more words in because that's what they ordered.

I love sales copy. I find it tough to write anything that doesn't sell something. Also, the topic might throw me a bit. I like writing IM stuff because I'm so familiar. But anything else kinda throws me off. But then again, I've written for a company that sells phone systems and they were pretty happy with what I wrote. Probably because it was an email sequence, some product descriptions, and some landing page copy. Made sure it was all congruent with each other and had the same sales message. That one was kinda fun. Took me outta my comfort zone.

I can also relate that I love writing sales copy, it's fun. But writing generic blog post articles, ahh not anything I enjoy the slightest.

    100% Agree.

Sales copy is the toughest--most rewarding-- way to write. Every word has a purpose. No slack in the line.

sales copy is hardest for me, by far, but it can be fun in the sense i view it as a puzzle to crack. also, very technical or niche products. blog posts, whilst easy to write, can be a bit mind-numbing.

Concise, dumbed-down writing. My writing style can best be described as "windy", I prefer using big words and long sentences. This is most likely because I started out in translating before I moved on to writing, and in translating, pay is per individual word, not per /100 words.

I like writing for a certain level of reader, and I find that writing for the lowest common denominator is some of the hardest writing I've done.

At early stage, I got everything difficult for me but after some experience.
Every difficulty disappears and everything became easier for me in my professional career.

Weirdly enough, find sales copy quite easy to write. It's long turgid blog posts about things I don't care about that get me!

I love writing sales copy. I don't do the "500 word article writing for 3 dollars" thing at all, I think that would kill me. Most difficult to date was writing speeches for a C.E.O., I ended up joining Toastmasters so as to get "into the role", so to speak.

Sales copy is one thing that requires time, effort and most importantly creative writing.
