Yesterday I sent out 1120 emails with the name tag as it is.
That is, the actual name tag: [name]

I am sure we all did some stupid things over the years over the years, me included. I am not sure about silliest but one of the more expensive ones when I messed up a decimal point on Adwords, and $0.54 was $54.00 per click. Needless to say I burned several $K in couple hours.

It would be nice to have a sticky thread with stupid mistakes and warnings so we all can read and try not to make same mistakes.

Eh not so bad. When I sign up to competitors emails I use names like OMGiLuvCak... So I guess you referring to me as name would be a little friendlier when I get your email LOL

PS How were stats on this compared to past emailings?

I promoted some CPA offers for two months without my aff link. Imagine the happiness when I realized the mistake. This was in 2010.

Well when I started looking in this forum, I got some "Xrumer rocks" threads. So I blasted one of my old sites (only one link lol :p) in Xrumer directly and within a few days, it became sandboxed LOL. since then I completely (well not 100%, but 99%) stopped common blackhat techniques...

I am still a SEO n00b, but that had to be the biggest blunder that I have done so far...
