What's the point of doing xrumer/scrapebox blasts if they just get deleted?

I registered to majestic seo the free one so now I can see what is going on with some of my links.

I had an xrumer blast done on one of my sites to test what it would do. Before I signed up to majestic I just saw '1423 external backlinks'. Now AFTER I signed up I see 1423 and in the details it says 630 deleted! lol. so that is a big difference to the previous stat.

This it is pretty clear will be the xrumer blast I had done.

So why bother doing them if they will mostly be deleted anyway...since they are worth so little in the 1st place and you need them on a MASS scale to even make a chink on quality links isn't it a case of shifting sands?

You guys are still big on these practices so I guess you are getting something from them. As such what is your strategy if they are always getting deleted? Is the idea just to make the turnover so constant that you are always renewing and adding to the lost backlinks so that you are always adding more than you are losing? I imagine in the case of xrumer this would get pretty expensive. SB I could run 24/7 on a vps with little upkeep cost (maybe you guys do the same with a bought license of xrumer?)

So my main question is- what makes them/how do you make it worthwhile to use these programs?

Not all of them will be deleted a good volume will stay.

When you are doing profile or blog comments blasts you use large volumes because you know that most of them will not be indexed and some will be deleted.
