What's the most you ever paid for an article?

I once paid $250 for a thorough 2k word technical article by a niche expert. Ended up getting a lot of natural backlinks to the article.

I think $15... or $16, I don't remember the exact amount but it's been around $15 for a 1200 words article in a crafts & hobbies niche (macrame I believe, but again I'm not sure as it's been over a decade ago). But the article has been great, it's been worth every cent

Do you mean for the article content only? Because if we’re talking about a full-feature on some respectable site then the answer is… Thousands

18$. I paid one of my writers 18$ to write a 3000 words article for a client.

Max I would pay like 4 to 5 dollars , thats the min rate !

A few hundred USD for technical writing.

$50 for a 3000 words long article. On average, I pay 30 to 40 for the same amount of words.

Max... 8 cents per word so it's $80 per 1k word article and it wasn't very technical.

$120 for 2k words.
It was for a guest post on a personal blog with 200k visits per month.

I’ve spent over $1,500 this week @ 8 cents a word for multiple pieces.
High quality stuff but still have to do a lot of legwork.

There was a client who paid me $50 for a 1000 words article and that too in 2012.

About $2.5 for 1000 words. Content was magic.

I had paid about $20 for an article. He was a native writer and worked for me for quite some time.

I think $20 for 2k words!

$150 for 1.5k words

I paid around $60 for an article on a platform and it was garbage.
