i believe that google like constant update, and they like long articles.
however, if i am to do this manually, these 2 have conflicts. i obviously cannot write 10x 1000-word articles a day. i would probably run out of things to say pretty quickly too.

i see somebody posts 20 per day, each costing him 1 minute. sounds like his blog is a micro-blog.

i am using wordpress. new posts come out on top. i do not like the idea that people come to my site to see loads of 2-sentence update every hour. even if i am writing 100-words quick posts, i'd prefer people to see my 1000-word articles first.

if i post often and write quickly, my content quality is definitely going to drop.
so what is the better way to do it?

short posts are not necessarily garbage though. you see those news sites, e.g., USmagaznine. they have top rank on google. they rewrite news in like 200-300 words. number of posts count, even for non-news sites.

Maybe. But you are not USmagazine i guess :D .Can't compare a big site with you (no offense)

Google like content posted regulary, it can be 1 every week, every 2 weeks and so... Not necessary 5 posts per day

You said it on your very first post yourself.

Why not try to write a 500-600 word quality-article first? If you've done research about the thing you are writing about, you'll probably reach 800 words. After that's finished, assess everything. How long it took you to write, how much energy you've spent writing it and how many can you make in a day.

2 better-quality articles (in the eyes of Google and your user) per day can beat 10 2-sentence posts any day...

After you've decided how many quality articles you are willing/able to put out per day, then you can move on to your next task; design of your WP site so that you're quality articles are the first thing your users see.

so far on my sites are all 1000-1400-word articles, 4 and 7 on each site. it took me 1-2 days to write just 1 article! ok, so majority of the time i spent i spent on procrastination. its hard work to write satisfying articles.

the reason i am looking at multiple posts daily is for quick traffic. as far as i understand, if i write something that can somehow relate some news to my subject, i shall get traffic. news are time sensitive things. obviously there is no point for me to talk about todays news 3 days later.

Try to outsource. I use filler-articles and put $3 per article, sure, they are not the best quality but with some editing you can make it into a post that is decent enough to be posted. Every week, post a longer article that you've written yourself that are more detailed. The filler articles can be posted to fill the website, maybe cover a small topic per article?

I usually make them either reviews or questions that can be summed up in 500-ish words. Sure, reviews might not be possible on all sites but there are a lot of questions to answer in every niche. What questions did pop into your head when you started learning about the niche? These filler articles might not be big traffic bringers (or maybe they will) but they will keep your visitors on your site and also fill your websites up so that they are heavier.

I wrote a 300 word article a few months ago, it generates 17% of my websites hits currently and ranks 4th page for a 300k searches/mo keyword. This post was just intended to be a filler article... It did so much better than expected.

I agree with previous posters, if your site is not a news site, don't post 20x100 word articles per day, it will just appear like pure spam to Google. Post 1-2 short (500-1000 words) per day and post one longer (1000+) per week. It should work great. :)

    Best of luck!

It's always more about quality than quantity. I suggest you start writing one post everyday. And then move up as you get comfortable along the way.

now everybody above says i should write quality long articles.
how about the 2nd tier (backlinks)?

do you all not create 2nd tier? or can you just get ranked by keeping on adding articles to the money site?

supposedly, 2nd tier should not be just a one-article blog, right? AND you are not supposed to have multiple links from that blog to your money site, right? So there i have say 10 blogs, each having 20 articles (terrible waste considering all this for just 1 backlink). even if i pay just $3 for 2nd-tier articles, it adds up to $600 for just 10 (tier-2) backlinks?? it would be impossible for me to write all those by myself.

    how do you do it?

For the lower tiers people prefer to use spun content for the sake of saving money.

I think that you should post when you are ready. I mean if you like the content and your article is full-fledged. It shouldn't be posted every hour or everyday. 2-3 times a week is enough. The quality is much more important than quantity.
