It's been 34 hours so far.. Thinking about crashing, haven't stayed up this long until the good old days with heavy drug abuse.

A thought, how long do you have to stay up before you die? Anyway I'm off to bed, cya ! :)

You don't die from sleeep deprivation, you just end up totally insane :D

When I did programming at Uni I used to live 32 hour days (awake 24 hours, sleep for 8 start again), which is why I don't program any more :p

I managed over 3 days once, but it was not worth it :p

Playing PlayStation or Unreal Tournament, with some games i could be for 30h awake.

And few years ago when i worked two jobs, I had the 19h work and 5h sleep thing, but it didn't go well.

I used to work the night shift from 22h to 07h, got my breakfast and went to the morning shift from 08-16h. Back at home and sleep from 17 to 21h.

Looks great on the paper, but I always "carried my work back home", had some meetings after the day job, some lunch and that kinda stuff, so there were times when i managed to not sleep for 40 hours.

Very bad thing, I hope that I will not get in that situation again.

It was back in 2009, I could not sleep for 105hrs straight away. I used to do a lot of writing those days.. :)

I don't sleep much though, Only 3-5hrs a day. And this Month, I had a long session of 56hrs without sleeping for a single min..

I've been up about 72 hours quite a few times. I've actually slept 4 days in a row a few times though.

I have been awake a straight 48 hours and that is the longest. But it was no IM or programming stuff it was exams time. LOL For IM stuff I think I have managed 15 hrs or so.

Kinda same here, I'm on shifting timezone mode, 24 hours awake, working or doing some other type of stuff, 12 hours sleeping. Been more than few months that I'm on this routine.

I have done a few 85+ hours in the Military on exercise and that really was a killer as it was physical and mental torture ...

other than those I did 74 Hours straight before the deadline for my Master's degree thesis ... and I wasn't the only one the computer room at the university. The room turned into a Coke, Pizza and Caffeine pill dump site with around 15 people in the exact same situation as me working to meet the deadline.

Took me 2 weeks for my body clock to return to normal and I spent the whole weekend following the deadline in bed ...

Maybe 30 hours but it's just not worth it. Sleep is actually essentially for maintaining the electrochemical balance of your brain. There's a reason why you start hallucinating after being sleep deprived fro several days.
