I'm starting a site dealing with giveaways, what is the legal information needed?

Also, would I need to register this as a business because I'm going to be receiving payments from businesses. (Could I avoid taxes with PayPal?)

PM me if you need more details.

    Thanks in advanced

Depending on what country and state you live in it varies. For some giveaways you need to register with the federal government and the state (possibly county and city as well) if in the U.S. There's also 'luck' giveaways that require a legally approved selector or guaranteed chance of randomness. This is why some contests say "Send us your best joke" or "send us a picture" and it's a loophole and they can say yours was the chosen winner rather than being random. I would recommend contacting a local lawyer who deals with contests and games of chance as if you do it wrong you're going to face a huge penalty. Avoiding taxes is also not recommended for something like this... just by posting you're now willfully admitting to try to and if you're caught it'll come back even harsher
