this is probably a noob question anyway i have just checked a keyword's competition on google.com and on google.it (using marketsamurai)

it is an italian keyword but it has a good competition even on google.com
there is more competition on google.it then google.com probably because it is an italian keyword.

so my question is...what should i do to rank it in google.it and in google.com too?

what's the different approach to be used?

if i want to rank good on google.com should i use an english website while if i want google.it an italian website?

is there any difference in backlinks creation process?

Hey guys, I have a fcking question...

I was trying to rank in a keyword with about 1.2kk monthly searches (exactly)...
But the 4th or 3rd spot in Google.com.br is a Spanish Site O.O

I mean, it's not all in Spanish. About 10% of the site is in Portugal Portuguese (not brazilian one), and the rest of the site (all texts, descriptions and secondary-titles) are in Spanish...

HOW THE HELL IT'S RANKING SO HIGH IN BRAZILIAN GOOGLE? And for such strong and big keyword? o_O

I'm italian too and I have found that ranking well on google.com is much easier than google.it. at least it is for me and the knowledge i have due to hanging out on this board and my own trial and error experience.

    I've noticed that:
    - ranking for italian kws on google.com is near to useless, since basically everybody in italy uses google.it by default. So, there is no
    - google.it is slower to show SEO effects on SERPS
    - sites like yahoo answers and article directories are not loved at google.it as they are at google.com

On the other hand, I had great results on google.com which gives me some confidence on how i do things and bank on my efforts.
