    I would like to know which one are better?

    <link rel="alternate" href="http://mysite dot com/" hreflang="x-default"> />
    <link rel="alternate" href="http://mysite dot com/de" hreflang="de-de" />
    <link rel="alternate" href="http://mysite dot com/fr" hreflang="fr-fr" />
    <link rel="alternate" href="http://mysite dot com/ja" hreflang="ja-jp" />

    Or

    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="http://mysite dot com" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="de" href="http://mysite dot com/de" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="fr" href="http://mysite dot com/fr" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="ja" href="http://mysite dot com/ja" />

    I prefer the first one. Looks like it will be more helpful to Google.
