How do customers typically become "aware" of a product. Before I heard of clickbank I had no way of knowing what products were out there. The reason I ask is because I get sales from "product name" not some generic long tail keyword. Do vendors promote their products elsewhere like on face book or something?

Also is there some kind of timeframe near a products conception when sales increase and then die off? The second my site started ranking I was getting about a sale every other day for about 2 weeks. Now I havent gotten a single sale in 2 weeks. The same trend has happened with another site I had. There is no consistency in this area of income.

    Sales are not predicted.

You will get as many sales as are people interested in your product and also the way you market, plus the quality of your traffic.

It depends on the product as to whether it's evergreen or cyclical - 'learn to play the guitar' for example, will last forever, but something event related, like perhaps the Olympics, will last only for a brief period. That said, however, I don't think CB accepts 'short life' products...

Don't try to determine your conversion rate until you have many thousands of hops, i.e if I got 10 hops and got an order, my CR isn't 10% I probably got lucky. Now if I have a million hops and 10k sales it's safe to say my CR is 1%.

With CB I usually get days without sales, followed by a burst of sales, etc. In the end what counts is the monthly total.

@alexa, well explained. It happens to me as well and many others attached to CB. But, experementing what sells and what will not is the key here, cos there are several products in same line, so test it and check what suits best for your traffic.

Did you even read the thread at all? Did your mind process it a little bit?

I guess not, your username explains it all... just DAMAGED!

The OP doesn't have a clue how sales work out.

We are missing the point here my experienced friends, before I arrived to this forum I never thought people buy something in CB, but is it good to stay allways with the same products? Or is it better to keep rotating what you are trying to sell?

It always depends on what kind of website you have.

If you have a product review website, then you can have a lot of products in that website and dedication an entire page to each and every product.

If you just have a sales page, then you must make only one sales page per product.
