What's the best workout to get ripped within 7 months?

    I have a pretty important ocasion comin up in 7 months time. I would really like to get ripped by then. If time and motivation is not a problem, what would be the best workout/diet for me? I'm in pretty average shape at the moment.

    I know some of you guys on here are into fitness, hope you can help me out.

    I've heard the P90x program is pretty good.. haven't tried it though although want to eventually here..

    Green tea is good for burning fat...i lost 18 lbs drinking 3-4 cups/day without even working out.

    Diet is 70-80% of losing weight. Check this guys lectures if you get a chance. He is a client of mine and has been consulting me on how to lose weight by using the right diet.

    So far so good for me. I am down 10 pound in the first week in a half, and the Doc said he has had clients lose 40-60 pound their first month.

    Now I used to be a fitness buff, was in the military, worked out every day, yada yada yada. Well once I started my business online, had a kid, got lazy, I started gaining weight at the tune of 35 pounds in the last 2 years. Not a fat ass, just heavier than I would like to be. I watched this Doctors videos, and it made a lot of sense to me what he was saying. It is long but worth the watch if you care about your health.

    Here is the diet in a nut shell.

    **You can think of this as a morphed Atkins/South Beach Diet

    Cut out: Sugar, Grain, Processed Foods, Coffee, Fruits (except berries), Corn, Alcohol, Dairy. Basically anything (fuck you mean everything;) that turns into sugar when digested. Has to do with your insulin levels ect.

    What you can eat: Meats, Vegies (avacados are tasty as shit btw), Berries, Seafood, Fish, Nuts. Mayonaise is cool, and salt is cool.

    Now you might say that this is hard, and it is, especially for a guy like me who loves to pound beers, but if you mentally tell yourself that you are elongating your life by changing your diet, you start to think a different way (At least I have because I am older, and don't want to die when I am 45).

    The key to the diet is to constantly keep yourself full. Nosh all day long. I try to eat nuts when I start to feel hungry. What I do is eat a big breakfast with eggs. You would be surprised how many different ways you can make eggs. Now he said to cut out diary, but fuck that. I just love my cheese way to much. Then I snack on nuts. There are tons of different kinds of nuts out there, so you can change it up. They really do help fight hunger. Then if I get hungry, I will eat a salad, or some chicken salad, ect. For dinner, I just don't eat the shit my wife makes that has tons of carbs in it. Just eat the vegies, and the meat.

    Then for exercise, I have the P90X (shit kicks your ass) and treadmill in the basement that I try to hit when I have time, which was 2 times in the last week in a half. So far down 10 pounds, and counting.

    There is a lot more to it, but I will leave it up to you to do your research. Overall it is actually not that bad a diet, and I jut feel healthier. Sleep better, wake up fresher ect...

    I was diagnosed with mild scoliosis before and my doctor told me to stay away from gym/working out..how can I get my six pack abs back without applying pressure to my lower back?

    If actually have a similar problem.
    I have a bad back, got two disks fused.
    I get steroid injections to firm up the muscles.
    And as long as i keep training, i don't feel pain luckily.

    But i also need keep the stress away from my back.
    You need to use a abdomen machine with a leg stretcher.
    And go swimming, butterfly stroke is very effective.

    same with me bro, It really sucks. I was really ripped for 7 months and the traps and abs were awesome. Even calves, the hardest part in my opinion were awesomely shaped and now I am not working out for 2 months and all my ripped muscles are going away. :(

    I did good amount of muscle training, a great great great diet and billy blanks taebo 3 times a week.

    Most of it is just diet, go to your local best nutrionalist and that will surely help you get in shape. If you want lean but muscluar body GO TO THE GYM.

    But always remember : ABS ARE MADE IN THE KITCHEN, NOT IN THE GYM

    Oh! you got a slip disk..I think that hurts a lot :(

    My doctor also recommended swimming..but I only do swimming during summer at the beach, which is also the time you need your body to be in top form :D

    1. Google effective body training etc. maby a specific muscle.
    2. Watch some pornhub.com movies and click some ads.

    Yeah it really suck. I tried to be stubborn once and did some crunches for 2 days and in return got a back pain for a week..WTF!
