    Hey everyone!

I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this question. If not, I apologize!

I'm thinking about joining a direct sales company/MLM company. In order to join them, you have to buy their product. It's a pricy product (1000+ dollars/euros), but it's compensation plan is very interesting. Commissions range from 350-2700 dollars. I'd like to start selling their product and hopefully earn a lot of money in the long term (5-10 years).

My question: what is the best way to sell such a pricy product? There's so much info on these forums and online it's hard to make a clear plan. One of my methods is going to be instagram.

Any tips are greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

I moved your thread to the more general affiliate programs section.

As for your question, I can't really help you there. It depends on the product, but you can always try promoting the product on forums related to it.

I don't sell any affiliate products but in this situation i assume you would sell it in the way it was sold to you. the same reason why you bought it will be same reason why many others would do it too. you have to explain why you bought it and why it was worth it and when people see it they MIGHT do it for the same reason .

    Hello there!

First of all, I'm excited for you. It's because you're willing to try one of the best industries up to date, which is MLM. I'm currently in a legit MLM company that currently trades in New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ, and so far my experience was awesome. It developed my personality and the way I think about my future.

I know there are some of you here who think that MLM is pyramiding or scam. I was the same thinking as you are before. Not all of them are like that. If an MLM company lets you earn and get your investment back through recruitment only, that's scam and pyramiding, and it's illegal. However, if an MLM company makes you earn and get back your investment through product orders, that's a legit company. This is why only few MLM companies are stable and running for decades.

Before you sell that product whatever that is, ask yourself these questions:

    * How stable is the company? This is a critical question. If you're representing an MLM company without the assurance of getting stable in the long run, your credibility will be affected, and your prospects won't accept your future invitations.
    * Have you tried the product yourself? If not, it's going to be hard to sell a product that you didn't try. Your prospects will be a bit convinced if you share your personal experience as a product user.
    * Is the product high quality? This one matters most. Try put yourself in the customer's shoes and ask "Will I get more than what I've paid for?". Explain to your customers about the importance of quality than cheap and ineffective ones.
    * What this product have that no others have? Let me ask you mate. Have you studied your product before selling it? Ater that, try to compare and study your competitors first. Analyze deeply on what you have that they don't have, and what are they missing if they choose others than yours. In this way, you've started to let the prospect realize the advantages that they have in using your product than the others. In this way, it's easy for you to handle objections when customers find it expensive like "Expensive? Compare to what?". If they do have the answer to your competitor's name or none at all, show them the comparison that you have researched for them to be convinced.

I hope these tips helped you a bit. You can private message me if you want to learn more how you can win customers with that product. Cheers mate! :D

I respect what you have to say mate, because I was just like you before. I thought all MLMs are scam and pyramiding, because I was scammed many times by various illegitimate opportunities. I even told myself that I would give up network marketing, but I believe there are legit ones out there. I've done my homework before joining a company, and for 3 years and counting I'm still going strong because of the right company I choose which is very legit and stable. Products are in high quality, it helped my dad recover from his high blood condition and my mom is energetic than before in her stressful government work. As for me, my severe anxiety condition and panic attacks were successfully managed.

Other companies that I've joined, I only lasted an average of 1-2 months before quitting and scammed. Again I have to respect whatever you said to me mate. I don't mind if you say I'm a clown, but I'm standing up for it. Peace! ;D

I looked over that it was MLM . I advise against it, i know members of MCA and Amway IRL and they are either losing money or pressuring friends and family to join and eventually stop and act like they never did however, everyone is different .

You get more selling a heigh price car from a proper dealership

    Price of car £49.000

    Commission
    10k

Like i say , you need to find your own car trader and you can earn thousands easly

The car above was a rolls , the company car show room wanted get rid of it ,and willing to cut 10k off asking price ,no brainer ,had it sold in 4 days .

Time ago ,but think out the box, many dealers around...

There are people who are insanely good at direct sales. I know of people with a specific woman's clothing direct sale/mlm that are making 5k-20k+ profit a week. I have friends in all sorts of different MLM's and some do well. They all have something in common, though. They are charismatic, good looking women with a lot of friends and family that bought something small from them in the beginning. Then told their friends, family, co-wokers, and neighbors. And then it either takes off or it dies. And for those that it takes off for, they have friends and family that want to get in on it as well so they are recruited. And now you not only make money off of your sales but you make a percentage off of what your recruits sell. There is that MLM working for you. So then you invest time in recruiting and really training these folks. You will have some duds but some will stick. You keep building your personal sales and you keep training up those recruits. You host parties (online and in real life) to sell your stuff and recruit more and more people.

And most just get nowhere. They can't figure out how to get their product in front of the right people or their family and friends have blocked their bullshit spammy MLM posts from their feeds and don't want to hear anymore about the nonsense you are pushing. If you don't already know at least a few people that will buy from you right now and will refer people to you right away, you are wasting your time hocking someone else's product.

Lets look at some of the more popular direct sales/MLM's out there. What's big right now? LulaRoe. Scentsy. Younique. Avon. Pampered Chef. Young Living. Plexus. Jamberry. Party Lite. Do you see a theme here yet? It's all aimed towards women. It's women selling to women for the most part. Shout out to Lula Bro, though, hes found a way to be insanely good at selling clothing to women. The good looking army veteran single dad thing helps, I suppose. A lot of sales are taking place on Facebook. I could get more into that but it's not relevant for BHW.

The fact that you think Instagram is a way to sell some insanely expensive MLM item tells me you don't understand it at all. It is not an easy way to make $.

tl;dr : invest in your own product, not someone else's.

The company I'm referring to sells these water machines that ionize your water. If it's legit or not .. I personally don't care. I just know the compensation plan is very interesting and I've seen a lot of people who are now doing this full time from home.

You always have 2 people with this company: the ones who are genuinely concerned about health and want the best water possible.. And the people who think the compensation plan is very attractive.

The company I'm referring too has been around for 10+ years in the US. They started in Asia (40 years ago).. and they know have headquarters in Germany and they plan to take over Europe too. It's compensation plan is patented and it's machines have ISO-certificates.

You do get payed for the first sale you make so I don't know if this is illegal (once red you have to sell x-amount first before you can earn a commision to not make the company an MLM scam).

I read all the time how MLM's are scams but seriously you're just selling a product right? We get scammed all the time. Go to a grocery store and the tomato that is in front of you is probably manipulated to give it a more red color and look healthier. Put on your TV and you see fitness equipment that promises to give you a 6pack fast while we all know you just have to have low body fat. It's just selling that's how I see it. As long as you sell the product, you get paid. No?

Just trying to start a friendly discussion btw and get some new insights. Thanks everyone for all the replies!

Dont fall for this. The one who buy this product in order to sell others he is the one the company makes the most profit.
This is a beautifully rapped scam.

With longer sales pages. More expensive items have more objections which must be addressed to make a one-visit-close.
