My WP site has a 404 error which I am pretty sure is not healthy SEO wise. Was just wondering if you guys know a simple method to remove a dead page or you can recommend a good plugin for this.

Thanks in advance for your time,

    James :)

I use a Wordpress Plugin that redirects 404 pages back to my main page (page of choice if you configure it). It helped me rank some steps further and avoided a lot of complications looking for 404s. I can't remember the plugin name, but a quick plugin search inside Wordpress will grant you that answer.

    Good luck bro.

OR you can use a custom 404 error page template with search, go back to previous page and several important pages links on it. (you can also add your favorite social networks on it)
