I registered a site on Sunday and SEO'd it, using white hat methods, so that it virtually ranks top for it's exact match phrase. Since sunday i have had about 150 visitors, which i am pretty proud about for a 2 day old site.

What's the best way to monetize the traffic to blogs about celebs..

I stuck adsense on it, in all the positions that are good for clicks ie. the left side bar and directly under a blog post so the ads are prominent but i reckon my click through rate is likely to be about 1% doing this, a far cry from the 10% i am used to with payday loans.

So what else could i do to monetise the traffic, better than adsense does. .

Any of you guys have blogs about high profile people? and have experience with this sort of thing?

    Cheers.

If it's someone who people are obsessive about, make t-shirts etc? Who is it? What do they do? Why are they famous?

I was thinking more along the lines of advertising. I wouldnt want to make any merchandise as it would likely see me getting sued for trademarks.

It's a site about a high profile female and a particular body part.

Look at sites like chive and others and see how they make money. And yes, logo based t shirts and the mugs do sell. it's just you have to hustle more for creating such fanbase.
